Biography
Prior to establishing his career as an artist and illustrator in 1835, Zhukovsky studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. His work was reproduced in the journal Peterburgsky Sbornik (Petersburg Collection), and other periodicals. From 1861 he taught at the Drawing School of the Society for the Encouragement of Artists.
Zhukovsky is represented in several museum collections, including the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg and the Pushkin Museum, Moscow.
