Biography
Konstantin Visotsky was a Russian painter of animals, landscapes, forests and hunting scenes. The artist was born in Moscow to a prosperous family of longstanding heritage. He learned his craft in painting studios, and also wrote music and poetry. He emigrated to Latvia in 1920 due to the Bolshevik dictatorship, where he remained until his death. Whilst living in Latvia, the artist worked as a teacher in a gymnasium and Russian secondary school in Riga. Visotsky also ran his own painting studio.
