LECTURE by GERALDINE NORMAN, 7th July, 1:00-2:00pm
Chief Executive of the London Hermitage, Geraldine Norman, will be delivering her lecture, 'Historic Collections of the Hermitage: Patronage & Power' on Wednesday 7th July between 1:00-2:00pm.
Mrs Norman, author of 'The Hermitage: The Biography of a Great Museum', will give fascinating insights into one of the world's best Old Master collections, set amongst Sphinx Fine Art's own collection of works by artist's represented in the Hermitage.
Geraldine Norman was for many years Sale Room Correspondent of The Times. She is the author of 'The Sale of Works of Art' and most recently, 'The Hermitage: The Biography of a Great Museum'. As an investigative arts journalist in 1970's London she famously uncovered one of the world's greatest art forgers, Tom Keating, and went on co-write the story of his rise and fall in her book 'The Fake’s Progress' (with Tom Keating and Frank Norman).
